Dr. Chris Shannon (Lt Col ret.), Assistant Professor at the Global College of PME, will speak to us about the history of the Tuskegee Airmen. Most of us are already familiar with the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and their accomplishments, but Dr. Shannon will provide us with a gritty side of the story that you may not have heard before. Come help us recognize Black History Month and honor the recent passing of Brig Gen Charles McGee .

Our guest speaker was Maj Will "Fridge" Perry, a UH-1N and Mi-17 helicopter pilot with over 1700 flight hours. With the recent announcement that we will be pulling troops out of Afghanistan, Fridge's stories about training Afghan pilots in the the Mi-17 "Hip" were all the more relevant. He also recently served on the Air Force Global Strike Command staff working MH-139 requirements. It was recently announced that the 908th Airlift Wing here at Maxwell AFB is the preferred location for the new MH-139 training unit.

Maj Caitlin Reilly, 2018 Mackay Trophy recipient and 2019 Colonel James Jabara Award winner, spoke to us about the amazing events accomplished by her U-28 crew, DRACO 42. Maj Reilly is currently an ACSC resident student and Gathering of Eagles partner. We are extremely excited to hear her story!

Maj Gen (ret) Earl Peck will speak to us about his experiences planning Operation Menu during the Vietnam War and flying Chrome Dome missions during the Cuban Missile Crisis. This is an amazing opportunity to hear about our Air Force legacy and history firsthand and we are honored to have him as our guest speaker.
